TALLINGTON PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the Annual Parish Council Meeting held in the Village Hall on Friday 15th May 2026.

Present: Vice Chair Cllr J Smith, Cllr J Knox, Cllr R Sorrel, Clerk N Smith and 0 members of public.

Minutes

001/26. Opening remarks. Cllr J Smith thanked the Councillors for attending this short Annual Parish Council meeting. The meeting scheduled for 13th May had been cancelled due to bereavement. By law, Councils must hold an annual meeting to elect officers for the forthcoming year in May.

002/26. To elect the Chair of the Council for the coming year: Cllr J Smith proposed Cllr Sagar for the role of Chair, seconded by Cllr J Knox. Cllr Sagar had confirmed he would accept the position by email prior to the meeting as he would be away.

003/26. To elect the Vice Chair of the Council for the coming year: Cllr Sorrell proposed Cllr J Smith for the role of Vice Chair, seconded by Cllr J Knox. Cllr J Smith confirmed his acceptance of the position.

004/26. To receive the Acceptance of Office form from the Vice Chair: The Acceptance of Office form to be signed by Cllr J Smith and counter-signed by the Clerk once available.

005/26. Date of Next Annual PC Meeting: Wednesday 19th May 2027.

006/26. Date of Next Meeting: Wednesday 17th June 2026, starting 7pm.
