The next Parish Council meeting is on Wednesday 12th March at 7.30pm in the Village Hall.
The 2nd stage of tree planting on the millennium Green has been completed with 12 new cherry trees. The QEII Oak tree that died alongside the old Reading Room has been replaced at the cost of the developer and relocated on Millennium Green. Clearing of the undergrowth along the boundary walls of the MG has almost been completed. It is hoped this will permit easier removal of the rabbit burrows. The debris /cuttings will shortly be removed from site.
The 3rd stage of the Millennium Green Lime tree planting in the canal bottom is to commence soon.
Further SK UK Shared prosperity fund grants have been received from SKDC.
To the Parish Council for further planting and trees for the Millennium Green.
To St Lawrence of Rome Church for new heating and lighting in the church.
And to the Village hall and Play field Association for repairs to the stone walls around the playground. Work commencing 3rd March 2025. Sections of the park will be closed off during the work for safety!
