Tallington Village Hall

< Back

The Village Hall is at the centre of village life. The Hall and its smaller side room are available to hire for meetings, lunches, dinners, weddings, wakes, children’s parties or for sports and club use and the like.

We regret that no evening events involving music, food and/or drink will be accepted from non-village residents.

It has a fully equipped kitchen with commercial dishwasher, fridge and freezer etc. There is a choice of entrances and a separate rear kitchen door.

Hire Rates from 1 February 2026 are £10 per hour or £60 per day for Village Residents. Or £15 per hour or £100 per day for non-village residents.

For regular weekly or monthly bookings, please ask for a quote.

The kitchen is included in the village hall hire, tea and coffee making facilities are available in the annex too. The hire includes the use of the village hall’s tables, chairs, crockery and cutlery. Tablecloths are available but should be laundered after the event [non-iron if laundered on gentle wash]. A £100 deposit is required from any hirer of the village hall, this will be refunded if no damage is found and keys are returned.

Hirers are entirely responsible for putting right or paying for any damage caused. Hirers are asked to take all their rubbish away from the Village Hall and also leave the building as they find it, e.g., swept/vacuumed as appropriate.

Conditions of Hire. Admission to functions organised by hirers must be by invitation only. The Hall is not licensed for any form of public entertainment.

Alcoholic refreshments can be provided to guests but cannot be sold for consumption, unless a license is obtained and displayed. [Please ask for information about this].

All waste must be removed from the Village Hall and disposed of by the hirer, not left on the premises. The Hall is a non-smoking environment.

Arrangements for access will be provided nearer to the event, and the key must be returned after the event.
